Monday House

There is this little blog that I really like a lot. The writer describes her house on Monday's as Monday House. When I woke up this morning I discovered I too suffered from Monday house. This is what I saw...

Oh, and this is Monday me...yuck!
It's funny because Saturday night our house is always spotless. It's like Sunday is literally a day of rest, no one picks up after themselves, not one dish is washed, we take off our clothes and drop them on the floor. I don't know, I haven't figured it out yet. It's weird.

However, I have inherited some OCD traits from my mother and father and can't stand the mess very long, so here is how the house ended the day...

My house is sparkling, but I still look the same. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

A Great Compliment

Tuesday nights I have Den/Pack meeting. I usually throw my scout shirt in the car and hurry and put it on in the parking lot before I walk into the church building for our activities. Then right at 8:15 I'm often found unbuttoning the hideous thing as I walk out the door. I have been laughed at by my former YW presidency(who I just think are jealous they don't get to wear a khaki colored uniform to all of their activities). However, this particular pack meeting was different and not because it was Pinewood derby. One of my scouts mothers came up to me and told me that not many people could pull off looking cute in the scout uniform but somehow I could. I almost cried, I could feel the tears welling in my eyes. It was so sweet.

What compliments have you received recently?

The Budding Photographer

Every now and then I'll do a post on my blog. When I do, I retrieve my camera to find the latest and greatest photos we've taken (which unfortunately aren't usually so great). It never ceases to make me smile when I come across these gems...

all of which were taken by Logan. Yes, that's right. He likes to take the camera and pose things(and by things I mean, his toys, or even himself. His self portrait kinda freaked me out a little. His mouth looks really weird.). Then he will cleverly put the camera back where it belongs until I discover what he's been up too. What do you think about the talent?

Musical Beds

We've been playin' a little game at our house, to torture mom and dad.
It's called wake up 50 million times a night, run around, and just be bad.
Then notice the suns not up yet, and decide we are still tired.
Let's find a new bed, quick...hurry before the nights expired.
Go back to my bed? No way. Oh here's one, this will do just great.
But wait, there's someone already in it, no worries, just snuggle up close for goodness sake.
She won't mind my elbow in her face, or a little head next to her pillow to share.
This isn't working , it's not fair.
Your wrong my little friends, I do, I really mind.
How do you keep your kids in their own beds and still stay kind?
