Who's who?

Yikes, next Tuesday is the Texas vote and I don't have a clue who to vote for. I had two people call me today to ask me who I am voting for and if I would vote for their canidate. I know so very little about each canidate and even less about what they stand for. I do know their party and what they look like...that's it. Can I get some help please. Tell me all you know, the good, the bad, the ugly. I just want to do my part for the country that I am so glad to be a part of.

Dad and I are both disgrundled since Romney is out of the race. Pretty discouraging choices, if you ask either one of us. McCain is the most conservative, but not really a true conservative according to many reports. Clinton is by far the most liberal (meaning she will initiate programs that will raise taxes and make government bigger than it already is). Huckabee isn't a viable candidate--got in too late and doesn't stand a chance, and hates Mormons. Obama is an inspired speaker, and excites your generation, but he is young and inexperienced. Also democrat, which always means bigger programs and more spending. McCain will keep the troops in Iraq until the country is stable enough to take care of themselves. Obama and Clinton will get the troops out soon, I think they have said within 60 days of taking office. That will be a disaster for the country, and put our national security at a greater risk. It sounds good to get the troops home, but it has to be done at the proper time. McCain's main issue is our national defense. Romney's was the economy, which is stinks right now, but he is out so....???

Man, I sound like I know what I am talking about. I really don't. Good luck, Kate! Vote well!
Love,
Mom

Evan and I are both political junkies. I often go to http://www.cnn.com/ for all of the latest political info. They have tons of debates, speeches, articles, video, etc. You can also go to the candidate's personal websites to find where they stand on issues.

I'm pretty sure I'm the last person who should say who to vote for. I find it all really boring for the most part and just ask Spencer who he's voting for. That's sad but the truth. I agree with your mom that it stinks that Romney is out.

Romney will have his day in four years, I think. Eventhough he is out, he came a long way, and that means lots of people came a long way with the Mormon thing. I agree with absolutely everything your mother says. I listen to all the stuff I can. I am not thrilled at all about the choices, but feel McCain is the best choice for now. If you are a conservative, when all else fails, vote Republican. No body wants to say "Pres. Huckabee" for four years anyway. Hillary and Obama are both kind of scary. I used to think it was all boring and ridiculous, and now I kind of like it. Morbid, huh?:) You'll do well, and it is important to vote.
